Worship Assistants
When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests in their vestments and with trumpets, and the Levites with cymbals, took their places to praise the Lord, as prescribed by David king of Israel. - Ezra 3:10 (NIV)
To make your experience here at Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church as pleasant as we possibly can, we start off your morning or evening worship with a friendly face to greet you. Our ushers and greeters present you with a smile and a bulletin for worship and can assist you with your worship needs. A Lay Reader will deliver the lesson(s) of the week to the congregation.
Ushers & Greeters If you are interested in becoming a Head Usher, Usher, or Greeter at any of our services, we would like to hear from you. Maybe, you would just like to fill in when another Usher or Greeter is unable to be present. Give the office a call at 332-3383 and we can help get you started. An Usher makes sure that the Altar is set up for that particular service, hands out bulletins, and helps you with your worship needs. If you are interested in becoming a Greeter at any of our services, we would also like to hear from you. A greeter(s) can be a family or couple, or one person who is interested in greeting everyone with a smile, handshake and a cheerful hello. This is one of the best ways to help build our congregation. You can show others how happy we are to have them with us. If you are interested in becoming a Greeter, give us a call at 332-3383. Lay Readers To become a Lay Reader and deliver the weekly lesson, simply call the church at 332-3383 and we can get you signed up. You will deliver the lesson(s) to the congregation by reading them aloud. You will receive your lesson(s) in the mail and you can practice your reading prior to the service. Give us a call, we really want to hear from you. |
